Although this game was just announced by Hideo Kojima, i was a bit puzzled, correct me if i'm wrong but didn't kojima say that he wasn't going to be involved in MGS3? i'm almost certain thats what he said, or was he just going to play a smaller part this time round?

But if you watched the DVD that came with MGS2 you'll know that what he was trying to do with MGS2 (and it's the theme of the game too!) was pass on all his knowledge, so that they could do the next one without him.
Where did you here this? If its true MGS wouldn't be the same. Other than Solid Snake and the other characters, Hideo is 1 of the biggest characters. I know hes not in the game, but he is still a huge part of it
