'Nintendo has sold a whopping amount of Zelda games for the GameCube!
In just a few days Nintendo sold a total of 407.700 copies of Zelda, which is an amazing accomplishment. Not only did Nintendo see a rise in software sales but also the hardware sales are going throught the roof!
Check out the Media Create charts of the week ending the 15th of December (Japan):
1 - Game Boy advance 241,600 (2,821,400)
2 - PlayStation 2 115,200 (3,357,200)
3 - Gamecube 67,500 (1,052,300)
4 - Xbox 13,400 (296,200)
5 - Psone 2,800 (213,300)
1 - The Legend of Zelda : Kaze no Takuto 407,700
2 - World Soccer Winning Eleven 6 Final Edition 336,500
3 - Pokémon Sapphire 180,600 (1,014,500)
4 - Pokemon Ruby 180,200 (1,016,000) 5 - .Hack Vol.3 96,000
6 - Guilty Gear PS2 74,900
7 - Clock Tower 3 50,000
8 - Mario Party 4 48,500 (414,300)
9 - Rockman Exe 3 47,800 (120,800)
10 - Gallop Racer 6 Revolution 44,800'
With Pokemon in the chart as well, and that being the fastest selling game of all time, I trully and firmly believe that worldwide, 2003 will be the year of the cube.
If its not, just look at the sales of the GBA and Cube placed together. Nintendo are some phat cats.
Then again... I probably won't be able to see them as they'll probably go and hide their faces in that whole `X-Box Live` deal, where Microsoft always comes out ontop. :D
And wow for the GBAs, I think its because nintendo over in japan are using the link-up tool very well, :)
Maybe i should get a GBA...
