Could happen.
Mulit-platform games are becoming more and more common.
Nobody could have predicted Sega being a 3rd party developer 2 years ago yet here we are with just that.

So could premier titles that identify consoles start appearing on others?
Mario on the PS2 perhaps?
Or Metal Gear on the Gamecube?
Is it that hard to imagine?

Simple answer is yes.
Metal Gear couldn't appear on the GB unless he was no longer a covert agent, but a massive-faced squirrel.
And instead of oil tankers and warehouses, he would sneak around big castles and lakes.
But he wouldn't sneak, he'd run really stupidly and leap about like a kangaroo off his baps on speed.
And there would be no weapons, but magic flowers that didn't kill, merely rendered them not-so-happy for a few seconds.
And there would be no end-of-level bosses with cannons.
They would be massive dragons (but not mean ones).
So, in short, I'm bored out of my face and I'm trying to bait the 'Tardos because it's funny and nobody even reads massive blocks of text so I can put this in the middle and only a few people will even realise I'm typing whatever comes into my fragile little mind.

So, to summarise:
Metal Gear Solid is PS2 only.

Yep, there is. Nintendo are too childish for a game of it's quality. All the Nintys will get frustrated when they don't find any mushrooms or gold stars.

MGS-X was planned, but canned a few months ago.

He is very good at unblocking holes using his specialised equipment?

Yeah.
But I think the one thing Nintendo agree on is that games with fat men with massive moustaches should be rated 18.

Especially when he's a "plumber" and we all know what that really means.

It would be stupid if MGS2 came out on gamecube as the original MSG appeared on one nintendo console in a different form, on the gameboy.

I also think that they said Metal Gear was coming out on the Xbox. I'm not too bothered though, I wouldn't buy it no matter what console it came on
