I reckon the other big launh titles are:
LM : Fun, but quite short
Pikmin : A great game for RTS fans.
SMB : Great fun single and multiplaying too.
Rogue Leader : Nice to play, good fun, but occansionaly suffers huge slowdown, although this isn't a big problem.
Star Wars Rogue Leader
Wave Race Blue Storm
Luigis Mansion
Super Monkey Ball
Star Fox Adventures (If its a launch title)!!
Resident Evil
Dinosaur Planet
Rogue Leader
Tony Hawks 3
Wave Race Blue Storm
Kameo Elements of Power
Turok 4
SSB Melee
ISS 2
Animal Forest
Pikmin
Mario Sunshine
Sonic Adventure 2
Eternal Darkness
Metroid
They all should be coming out in 2002, there's quite a few more as well. But me thinks those titles should keep you busy for a while.
Wave Race: Blue Storm -- Again, quite good. I'm playing this at the moment myself and I'm enjoying it.
Starfox Adventures -- Haven't played it yet since it isn't out till April I think.
SSX Tricky (untill 1080 comes out!) -- Avoid, it's worse than the PS2 version with horrendous slow-down to boot.
SSB Mélee (as you said) -- Not for me this one, but each to their own.
ISS 2 (if it is a launch title?) -- Again, haven't played it yet, but if it's anything like Pro Evo, it'll rule.
Simpsons' RoadRage (if it is a launch title?) -- Not played this one either, nor do I have the inclination too.
Luigi's Mansion
Wave Race: Blue Storm
Starfox Adventures
SSX Tricky (untill 1080 comes out!)
SSB Mélee (as you said)
ISS 2 (if it is a launch title?)
Simpsons' RoadRage (if it is a launch title?)
These games should keep you busy untill around x-mas time at least, when we can expect the like of Turok Evo., Perfect Dark Zero and Mario Sunshine!
No, I haven't played any of these games, but from what i've heard and read they are some of the best, and are the ones i'll probably try and get.
