The PS2 is much better than I expected from seeing screenshots of most of the games. Tekken Tag is alot beter than expected and GTA3 has alot of very nice moments and the graphics are superb but the fact that the PS2 cant handle anti-aliasing that well always seems to show through and makes every game look really jaggy.
I played Dead Or Alive 3 in Florida in electronics boutique on the Xbox and it simply blew me away. The graphics were stunning, not a massive leap from DOA2 but still a very large substantial one but the gameplay was just like beofre with not many new elements in it.
Lastly I played the Gamecube, to be precise, the trench run on Rogue Squadron 2... Unfortunately it failed to impress me. The graphics didnt blow me away, they were good, granted but they still werent above the standard of the MGS2 demo Ive been playing on my PS2. I didnt have time to get on the Hoth level but it looks much better thaan the trench run thankfully.
All in all, which console is the best? Well, I dont see too bright a future for the GC, sure, its cheap as hell and everything about it is amazing.. Apart from the games. I just dont think there are enough good titles coming out to substantiate the consoles release. I have given up totally on the new Zelda after they changed the style, and I would have bought a GC just for that and now all Im looking forward to is Wave Race and even that just looks like an update...
The Xbox has more support, the best games, the best graphics but its twice as expensive... And Sonys effort is worth the money seeing as the amount of games I want for the console is currently more than the total number of games to be available for the GC:(
I really want a reason to buy a GC and keep the Nintendo spirit flowing but unlike the N64 which contained the amazing Super Mario 64, goldeneye, zelda etc, the GC just doesnt have enough to convince me yet..

Supposedly there is still a glimer that ninty are NOT using cel shaded due to the amount of dislike towards it (including myself). i wouldn't have mined AS much had they not showed us what looked like the BEST game ever last year, remember that beautiful game... if they DO revert to that then there is NO chance im not getting a GC, none at all...
Having said that ill probably get one anyway - Mario Kart GC, Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Starfox Adventures, Anything else RARE throw at me... etc
And Graphically it is hard to beat, in fact I couldn't see the PS2 Handling the same visuals- Impossible!
I was reading a NOM magazine from last year earlier, and they had Eternal Darkness and Dinosaur Planet listed as N64 games in the back, SR's section. And there were also quite a few games there! How times have changed...
Ok, Super Smash brothers, like the last one on the N64 seems to have the depth of a shot glass..
Resident Evil, I agree will probably be a very good game but weve played it before.. If the graphical style was changed in Zelda then I think the whole game will be and I am expecting a less mature adventure although even if it is mature I couldnt stand playing it in cel shading... That is one thing that Nintendo really let me down with..
Eternal Darkness has been floating around for ages and personally I think it looks worse everytime I see it and the rest is just speculation. There havent even been screenshots of Perfect Dark and obviously the `all Rare games` comment also doesnt fit as anything good appear, or not. So untill then, I will still hold on to see what the GameCube can offer because at the minute it doesnt offer much:( But I hope it does, I still think Nintendo has a lot of magic and out of any console the Cube has the most POTENTIAL
No, hardly anyone's actually played a GC yet, and we all want to, but from the feedback from the people who have, there are good signs that leed us to believe that we won't be wasting our money!
You'll probably find this with PS2 and X-box fans too. Look how many PC owners will be wanting X-box's, due to what they've experienced on earlier Microsoft machines.

And I've already discussed with you the XBox r.b

God i hate agreeing with people, but i have to again... DrDragon who are correct-o-mundo again... especially with the Rare comment, they saved Ninty last round, this time they will only have to help, a bit a of a rest, less pressure and more great games... hopefully they will be a part of the next bomb (i say HOPEFULLY, i know its not really gonna happen...)
