A nice woman in a gig shoe shop told me that when doing up my laces, I should cross the laces over twice because lots of the time it didn't work.

I thank that lady, for if it wasn't her then I would have spent most of my Infant School days running around with no shoes on, like all the girls.

And contrary to popular belief, I'm not a girl.
