Why doesnt Nintendo bring out some pods nice and early to match teh x-box pods?

you can't take the handle of without opening up the whole machine. That handle would never snap and if it did the handle itself wouldnt snap but where it goes into the cube owuld have to its very chunky.
My point is that even thouh you may not want the handle there or think it is a stupid idea you will still use it with out realising.
It dont get in the way of cables or anything either its at teh very top of the back of the cube.

you probably could take the handle off , maybe if yuo took the console apart (with that poxy gambit screwdriver head) then unscrewed it from inside.
my guess's are too rude for this server, but anyway, i think it gets in the way, looks stupid etc, so what, it has one useful purpose, 'to get it out of the box', if ninty have done anything right, you should only need to do that once! so why a stupid ugly handle? we've lived without one b4, we can continue without.
question:
1. can it be removed in anyway? screws? clips?
2. doesn't it get in the way of the cables at the back?

and no not my vice like grip that i would have to

Until it snaps and your GC falls a couple of feet to its doom. Well if the X-Box went with the same idea as the GC and included handles, you would need 2 for the console and 1 for each controller.
