We've all been there. Standing with the newest game at the time in your little hands and you stride to the shop counter. once you've paid up you then can't wait to get back and have a bash on this great game only.... oh ts not really all that good.

So what does everyone think the most disappointing game they have ever bought is?

mine would be going back quite a few years, I was still only knee high to a grass hopper yet I went to a local Toys R Us and bought with my pocket money "Superstar Boxing" for my Amstrad. Now I had to spend all day shopping with my parents and of course I wanted to go home and start my computer boxing carrer.

Hours later I was home and I slped the cassestte into the slot and waited for the usual loading to begin. By now I was a wreck I NEEDED to play this game. I had it all planned a few hours playing this then the quiest stop for dinner then play till bed time! Oh how wrong I was!!! It started well, a big boxer guy trusting at the screen to some cheesy music. So I decided to trust myself straight into the ring and I was ready to Rumble.

But how cruel Amstrad were. It was only two player!!!! It never said anything like that on the box or nothing. But what ever your tried you could never get the computer to fight against you!!! how gutted was I! I soon turned to off after fighting three matches which all were won in record time without me even getting hit!!! Still to this day I look back annoyed that Amstrad had sold such a shoddy game!!! So what is everyone most hated game of all time then?!

I would say that the worst game I have ever played is South Park on the Playstation - it was so terrible! The most disappointing one? That would have to be Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. I was expecting something that was a hybrid of 1 and 2, but I just thought it was terrible. Sure, it had graphics and the great storyline that the originals had, but was it really any good in terms of gameplay and originality? Give me RE2 over it any day.

Most disapointing games? well first off all practically the whole ps2 launch line up (especially Kessen). Other than that, Forsaken on n64 Uefa Striker on Dreamcast, but by far the biggest was when i paid good money for EF2000 on the pc, expecting a full on dog fighting game and got a poor flight sim that crashed all the time!

Hmmmm

Me and my mates tried mulitplayer. It was funny for about five minutes, but Goldeneye/Wrestlemania was back in the N64 within 10 minutes.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm cack games cack games, well mine would have to be mmmmmmmmm nothing really bad but what annoyed me when i was younger was really really hard games.

Like when i got super punch out on the snes grrrrrrr that bruce lee wannabe i forget his name, i just couldn't beat him. maybe if i tried to do it now i could but when i was young it was way to hard.

i never really brought games that made me think "what a waste of cash" but now and then i came close. like when i almost brought cool spot on the snes. phew

I quite dug Max Payne. Regardless of length, it was good enough for me to come back to.

Most disappointing? Hmmmm.... Double Dragon 3 on the Atari ST, for a variety of reasons. It wouldn't work properly for ages, we never got the two player mode happening, it lacked the vibe of the firt game, when we did get it working ok in one player mode it was pretty short, reasonably dull and mind numbingly easy.

There's probably worse gaming experiences but that one comes readily to mind. Oh, Final Fight on the atari st was such a poor conversion it made me want to cry.

Bomberman 64.... pants.

When I was about 6 I read in a magzine that Zoop was the next big thing. So next time I went shopping and immediatly bought it and found it tedious and boring. I literally put it down after 5 minutes.

If you've ever played it then you know what I'm on about!
