Some people thought just go looking for trouble, which is there fault entirely. I mean, Snake has a gift of great stealth, which he could use totally in his advantage, he could sneak anywhere. Where would you rather be, sneaking onto a ship looking to kill soldiers or sneaking into a certain somebody’s locker room? Snake takes the first one, where he could go un-detected he decides to shoot every guard he comes across creating mass alert for his death and a patrol of soldiers, while being rather thick come to attack him holding sub machine guns which are lethal! So why does he do this? Because of you lot, to spice up the game and make it more action packed with many deaths, explosions, bullet wounds ect, id hate to guess how many times he’s had a bullet taken out of him!
But not just him, while you sit there having a quiet life staying out of trouble, you get others into it. What about the bloke from GTA 3, im sure he would rather be down the pub watching American Footie with his mates, but no, he is out murdering old ladies struggling to carry there shopping, nicking expensive cars and performing jumps that even Burt Rennals would be afraid of which often end in death, he even picks up hookers, who knows what he might have caught! But why does he spend his afternoons doing this? Because you lot would think that a game about American footie would be boring and so want mayhem and death. With a criminal record such as his, and a scared body that makes Freddy look attractive he has no chance of a job or family.
But these are the people that risk their lives, what about those who come under pressure everyday. All you Pro Evo lovers who persist in playing England VS Germany every day, imagine the pressure on the players to beat each over all the time, how can they possibly go on doing this all the time with no match day rests in between. Owens hamstrings will have stretched so far by the end of the year that he will be 1 foot taller! Colin McRae, another one under the pressure all the time, the amount of races he’s put through on the game there is no wonder the earths atmosphere is polluted.
Some characters are just unlucky though, in the wrong place at the wrong time and are only too glad to have your help. Where would Daxter be without you, still stuck as a ferret no doubt, im sure he’s great full for your gaming, but he’s still probably ticked off by the amount of times you jumped into sea and got eaten by the shark, or thrown into the deep unforgiving mist of Misty Island.
But these are only a few examples of the hurt, and displeasure that some characters are being put through, and all because they want to lighten up your days, help take some of that anger and stress out on the other less fortunate sprites of the land. So, remember, the next time your beating an old ladies in the street, killing a cop, playing the world cup final for the 7th time in a week, remember that these people are doing in for you, that they are your dreams, hero’s and playthings. Don’t take the mickey out of them if they are fat, have a big nose or are as dim as a donut, respect them, for doing the job that someone has to do.
> ok, very long post, do we have to make posts this long to win?! lol
The length isn`t important. Its the quality. In the past, some posts that have been really short and have won because they put across an extremely good point.
>and i end up with a GAD, cant be bad!! :D
Thought you might get one for that....another one to add to your tally!
Just one area I thought you should have covered was the fighters....obvious I know but even playing TTT I still whince when a really bone crunching combo is dished out to the characters.....I really feel their pain and have utmost respect when they just get back up and continue the fight just to please me and my mate.
I hope they get paid well ;)
It is true though that you grow with the characters, and you learn and adapt to the virtual "life" with them. If the game is good, you will identify with the character more and the emphasis in every game should be put on a good storyline where you control a believable character and the one that you actually enjoy being.
And think for a second, how hard it is not to shout at a character when you plunge to your death for the umptieth time after misjudging a jump-I mean you just have to have a go at them, call them a piece of monkey cr** etc. SO I disagree with you in that respect. But apart from that its a good post
Poor Bloke.
