My birthday (2nd January) is fast approaching, and I'm wondering whether or not an X-Box would be a wise investment. As you all probably know, I own a GameCube and a Playstation 2, and my favourite games are the more original and in depth ones. For example: Deus Ex, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time and Resident Evil.

What would there be for me on the X-Box? I like a bit of action and stealth, but usually games that require thought. Online gaming I'm not so sure about, but if it's done well for your money I might just consider it. Fable looks excellent, as does the Shenmue series so some more information on these would be useful.

Thanks for any help you can provide me with :-).

OXM magazine rated them elite games (games with the score of 8.5 or above)
I rented Jet Set Radio Future, it is really very, very good. And Sega GT is meant to be like the Xbox version of GT3 on ps2, except, i think you can damage your cars on Sega GT, correct me if i am wrong, which is NEVER!

Splinter Cell is one of the most incredible games i've ever played, and thats no exaggeration, I'm not a big console fan at all, but for the current price i thought why not, and grabbed me the 4 game pack, and I'm really happy with all 4 games, Halo is awesome fun, scooting around on the jeep things is great, and the graphics are excellent. Splinter Cell will blow your mind, think MGS but better. It really is good.. GT2002 is a good fun driving game, similar to GT3 but not quite as good, still damn good fun though. Jet Set Radio is also pretty funky just for the addictive music and for a bit of a laugh.

Well worth the cash, get one, get one now.

I would reccommend Splinter cell, as it is a very long game, requiring a lot of stealth and thought. Also Halo because Halo will always rule. Deus Ex 2 is coming out on xbox, not sure when though. I would also suggest Xbox Live as their are unlimited possiblilties
Hope that helps mate

Just did that, but a long list of games is hardly helpful :). Can anyone give me some information on games I'd probably like that are out now? Microsoft appear too dependant on future releases.

Your best bet is to read through Savatt78's "Thinking of" post.

Hey, if you wish to know about any of the games and stuff he mentions in the post, please feel free to ask.
