I think ps2 will be the first to get the internet because on febuary 13th there was a packed meeting about it and they talked about bringing a broadband internet to ps2 at the moment it is said to come out in May 2003 there will be a hard drive which will slot into the back of a ps2. There is going to be a broadband pack which will be around £45 you plug into your machine and phone socket. The package will also include software and usergides. The games you are likely to see over the ps2 internet are games like Gran Turismo 4 resident evil network and final fantasy xi
The xbox is also going to go online but no major plans yet have been made.

Dreamcast done it first and failed lets just see how the ps2 and xbox do!!

XBox is not a computer. If it was, then you could run WORD or PhotoShop on it.

You could try, but in more action packed games, you might end up lagging the game. People hate laggers, so you would soon get a bad reputation, and no one would want to play you.

But it might all work perfectly, I don't know.

Well, I wont be the first, thats for sure. Like so many others, my area is not covered by broadband - in any case it would cost around £25 per month just to keep your broadband connection. Then there could be further charges for the game content. And from what i can see, XBox wont offer web access (dont know about email), just games.

Maybe, but you will suffer in big games. I have had my 512K connection up to around 50% of its speed, so thats double your total bandwidth. Microsoft may also detect your connection so that you can't sign on. You can try the 128k connection but it may not work, or if it does it may be laggy.
