I mailed the Swedish winner (I ended up 9:th) and found out that he did use automatic gears...

... and was a rally driver on his spare time, in real life.

It's all finished now (unless your in the top 5 in our country).
It was an excellent idea and nice to see so many people participating, I came 268th out of over 1000 in the UK overall so am quite pleased.
Didn't spend hardly any time on last challenge though, am sure I could have knocked another 5 seconds off but hey nevermind.

Hi guy's ...Well I had a good larf doing the 1,2,3 stages, but when I started doing the 4th, the game went weird. Every time I crashed out the car would not return to the track in 3secs ....don't know why but I ended up crawling at a snails pace to get back on the track(10 secs every time). Any way I would just like to say a BIG THANKYOU TO GINGER FOR HELPING ME OUT!!....It was very good of you mate and I appreciated the help!.

Chat soon!!:)

I give up! 2.30.48 + 3.10.34 + 4.08.56 (very safe driving :( ) = 9.49.38.

Theoretical time: 2.29.62 + 3.10.34 + 4.07.94 = 9.47.90

Oh well, It has been frustrating and fun to see how much you can push yourself. I have lost count of how many times I have said "it's impossible to drive faster than this" and a couple of tries later smashed my old personal best.

I hope there'll be another competition in some other driving game. It would be fun to race with you again.

And thanks to Diplomat and G1nger for giving me driving tips on the third race (Sweden).

OK, I drove a bit on the safe side on stage 3 (it is the hard part) but here are my times for tonight.

2.32.48 + 3.11.62 + 4.08.98 = 9.53.08.

I think there still is room for improvement though.

I've reached 9.50.38, best stage times would be 2.31.02, 3.12.00, 4.06.36. I don't really believe I can improve the first one, but the last two could be done better.
