This could have gone in ukreviews.com, but no one else was reviewing Pokemon then, and my review probably would have been too long. Here it is, anyway.
With the release of Pokemon Gold and Silver in America, this next installment of Pokemon games looks to take the Pokeworld by storm. You start off your adventure in your home town of Wakaba and go next door to Professor Utsugi who gives you your first Pokemon. The three Pokemon to choose from are: Chikorita (Grass Type.My favourite,) Waninoco (Water Type,)or Hinoarashi (Fire Type.)
The two main differences between Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow and Pokemon Gold and Silver are that in the first three Pokemon games, it was daytime all the time. But in Pokemon Gold and Silver, you set the clock at the beginning and at night, in a certain area you see different Pokemon than in the day.
Also, every single Pokemon is male or female (but none in between!), whereas in the first Pokemon games, only Nidoran was male or female. If you catch a male and a female version of a certain Pokemon, you can give them to a man in Kogane City to breed. If the Pokemon like each other so much that they mate, the man will give you back the two Pokemon you gave him, plus an egg which the female has laid. Some Pokemon, eg. Pichu (de-evolved form of Pikachu) and Pi (de-evolved form of Clefairy) can only be obtained in this way. But one of the best things about these two new games is that they are nearly twice as big as the first Pokemon games and there are 100 new Pokemon to catch!
If you get to the end of the game, you'll find out what level and gender Ash Ketchum's Pikachu is. Tell you? No way! You'll have to play the game to find out..........
