"oddworld inhabitants have betrayed ps2 owners!"

as a loyal ps1 owner, one (or rather 2) of my favourite games ever is abes exoddus and oddysee, the oddworld games, so when i heard of a sequel coming to the ps2 i went out and bought one only to find out recently that the new game, munchs oddysee is only being released on the x-box! i was outraged as it was the playstation that allowed oddworld inhabitants to display their talent only for them to turn their back on sony. am i the only one who thinks this is a crime? feel free to voice your opinions every1

comment on a game once you have actually played it please, that way you will avoid stupid comments from ill informed, ps2 owners

Wasn`t the N64 around when the Oddworld games arrived? I`m sure it had been about quite some time in fact. I think they just want the easy high paid life, which to be fair is what most people would take, but being selfish in the short run could hinder their chances of a return to favour on PS2 should their fortunes change on the X-Box later on.

Xbox is a pile of shod and from what I've heard so is Munch's oddysee, I have Abe'e oddysee for PS1 and yeah it's a laugh and not a bad platformer but as for the 4 sequels i couldn't give a flying dodo.

i only just read a review of the new oddworld game on another website and apparently its not as good as its made out to be so maybe its a good thing after all but its a shame that the company had to sell out to the higher bidder instead of opting for the better console.

The Oddworls philosophy was to produce a total of 5 games bringing each new installment to which ever was the moset powerfull machine...

PS1 got the first installment, then it was supposed to be the PS2 as at the time it was the most powerful machine about (and in theory, still is due to it's open ended architecture!!) but the poor old programmers found the PS2 architecture to hard to handle and chose the XBOX's OpenGL approach (Purely because an idiot could code in it and MS gave them a HUGE fat cheque)!!

It still looks the same, but oddly enough, it's slower than the PS2 beta version?..

Waht comes next, we will all have to wait and see and installment 3 won't be around untill the next next next generation consoles (PS3, XBOX2 etc...)

I was slightly gutted too at the news to can the PS2 version, but hey, never mind, I'll survive without farting or burping for a while!:-#

yea, u's all may think u'v had the time to get over it by now, but when the game is actually released u will all be missin out big time. id buy an x-box just for that game (cos all the other games suck or they can b seen on ps2 anyway) but i wont cos oddworld inhabitants are traitors

That would be about right, because they originally said that exactly the same but with "PS2" where "Xbox" is now.

The amusing thing is that it looks practically no different to the last version seen on the PS2.

Still, like Meka says, it's old news - been known for about a year or more now - so we've all gotten over it. It's been surpassed by other titles.

This was the official word from the creator of Oddworld! As well as the PS2 being to hard to develop for!

...or...

Probably the reality... Ms gave them a big fat cheque!!
