Okay, I know there is a topic for this but anyways. A clan has been formed called *[SR]*. We are on Clanbase and we can participate in any games we want. We have a channel on irc.quakenet.org. The channel name is #special.r

I need to confirm all people that are interested as some people say they are but I haven't spoken to them properly yet. Tell me here if you are DEFINATELY interested and then I will give you instructions about mirc if you don't know about it already.

Look forward to hearing from some of you.

I downloaded mIRC 6 on my lunch, I'll have a look at it tonight.

I've got Q3A and UT. I'm (trying to) download TO at the moment, but it's damn slow on a 56k modem!

Can anyone burn it onto CD for me by any chance?

IRC is a way of communicating over the net - "Internet Relay Chat". Servers run IRC daemons to let you connect, and talk to anyone else on the same network (a network is a series of linked servers). There are various programs to let you do this, mIRC is probably the most friendly, but you can also get Xchat and BitchX for Windows. The program just lets you connect to the server. Once there, you can join any of the public rooms, and chat privately with any other users connected. It's a good way of communicating with large numbers of people, and the source of many good quotes for our file..

mIRC 6 just released, supports multiple servers, so you can be on more than one at any time.

I need operator status :((( If Phil leaves mirc I am screwed as only he is operator right now so only he can op the bot. Once the bot is operator I can op myself as I am channel owner. Come on Phil mate :S

What it is, is a chat proggy. irc.quakenet.org is the server name and #special.r is our private channel. We have full control over it so we can kick anyone getting out of hand. I have got flood protection on strong so anyone spamming will be temp banned, permanently if need be. Its just basically a good way for only the interested to talk really.

http://www.mirc.com is where you can get mirc 6 although some people might prefer different scripts, like Tracerscript which has a bit more humour to it, although the thing has a tendency to cause a lot of flooding.

Well I would like to see people who are interested in irc.quakenet.org #special.r tomorrow please. I will get you authed with the bot and so on so we know who is up for it. Then we can sort a time out that we can go find a server to severely own. Although for tonight I am knackered, just played a war, won 4-0, my eyes hurt and my maths is unfinished.
