1) Shigeru Miyamoto: After coming to Ninty as an artist, Shigsy suddenly became famous, or should that be infamous, when game took off. He made Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong, designed the first platformers and is still int he indiustry making groundbreaking games- Mario 64 introduced real 3D gameplay for the first time.
2) Yugi Naka: When the SNES was selling more than every other console put together (there were at least half a dozen at the time), Sega needed to do something. So, right then, Naka-san came up with the comlete opposite of Ninty's fat, slow, red plumber- Mario. He made a slick, fast, cool, blue hedgehog named Sonic! Oh, and NiGHTS! on the Saturn is, in my eyes, the most original game ever. Pure phantasy gameplay... genius. Fave game ever is that!
3) Yu Suzuki: The man of many talents. On the one hand he is pushing the boundries in 3D fighters with the Virtua Fighter series. On the other he is an expert at making racing games- Ferrari 355, and loads more that I can't remember (DOH!). Oh, and now he's made Shenmue!
Sonic
Obviously he knows nothing about the man's games, and yet he comes and uses him as an example to critisise...

Bah! Wait until you play MY games!
Something to look forward in the next 6-10 years or so...
Screw the PS3, I'M the future of gaming! ;-D
HE has made dozens of racers, from hang on to F355, loads of fighters- notably creating the whole virtua fighter series, a few shooters like Space Harrier, and now adventure games like Shenmue...
That was, in fact, my very reason for liking him- he makes a whole range of games!
Sonic
So much emotion and power go into his games. Metal Gear Solid is my favourite game ever, and ZOE, although short, is more of the same class we've come to expect from him. MGS2 got some great marks from Fujitsu and GameSpot, so I'm expecting this one to be a blinder as well. He is my fave game developer, by far.

You see, that, I disagree with. I don't for a second believe the likes of Mario and Zelda would've been the same without Shigeru Miyamoto working on them. Heck, they probably wouldn't of even existed. Just imagine a gaming world without Mario and Zelda!
