I got XBL.
Its been happily working via ICS connection for the last week.

However I turned it on today and it no longer works.
Its not my ISP because, as you can see, my internet is working.

What Operating System are you using?

If its XP it has a tendency to forget about ICS is on!

Goto your network settings, find the link to your modem and alter the properties and take ICS off, then put on again!

DrTCP

I forgot where I got it from but it's a sweet program that tweeks your net connection. The problem could be that someone's mucked around with your MTU. It should be 1490 (I think)

I had mine at 1492. Changed it to 1430 and that works alot better. 1458 also works. Also you need a RWIN value. I have MTU 1430, and RWIN 13900, my connection flys maxing out my 512 ADSL. If you have cable and a different speed i.e 1024 then these values are different. Also 1430 works for me but 1458 might work better for others.

A good site to go to is www.dslreports.com, as this will test your connection for MTU, RWIN e.t.c and will advice on tweaks. You can also get DrTCP from there as well.
