ok there is this short man with a big beard and long hair who lives in on the 30th floor of a big building. every day he leaves his room takes the lift to the ground floor and goes to work, but when he comes back home from work he takes the lift to the 15th floor then takes the stairs to his room, explain why he does this?

Because in the afternoon there's an after-work orgy on the stairs of floors 15-30 which he likes to watch/join in with.
