Has anyone been on this dreamcast version, is it hard to understand the Jap language?

Ive heard the Fire Pro series(?) is pretty awesome.

No you don't
It works fine, you just don't understand all the little symbols and may delete the data when you mean to save it.

oh yer thats a point....

Saving Jap data on my VMU?
I read one review saying i have to download a english file off t'internet.

I quote; make sure you "........ are able to transfer an English name save file from the Internet to your VMU."

Whats that all about?

NO don't learn Japanese you madman!
You have to guess.
When it puts up a picture of a memory card and asks you something, you have to guess which is save and which is don't save.
When creating your wrestler you have to guess which symbol is which move. It's all part of the experience. And the commentary. Oh the commentary.

It is not the only reason to get a DC.
If you get a foreign one your swirl will be orange, but you won't be able to buy any of the lovely cheap games that they sell everywhere now.
My advice would be to get a nice cheap dreamcast, an Action Replay, and find an importer somewhere (or Ebay). Then you could also play Shenmue and all the other fantastic games you've always wanted. Like Seaman.
Ah seaman...
