"MSN Messenger Virus Problem"

My brother has problem with a virus, being a wally he accpeted a picture which was actually a virus.
Now and again it says something like "I have taken a new picture would you like to see it?". Sometimes it has a pop up box, "would you like to accept?".
Can anyone tell me how he can delete it please. He lives 200 miles away and I don't fancy a long drive at the weekend.
Any help appreciated.

Sorry, I'm not completely up to speed on antivirus software for Windows.. but if his system is still in a relatively usable state you should tell him to go download some McAfee evaluation stuff and give it a go.

If he doesn't have any luck, condolences.. reinstalling the operating system after a clean format is probably the safest bet.

Yeah few my friends had that, got quite annoying , them trying to send me a virus without them even knowwing. Any way i think they just made sure msn wernt running, and deleted the file, or even the received files folder.
