My brother has problem with a virus, being a wally he accpeted a picture which was actually a virus.
Now and again it says something like "I have taken a new picture would you like to see it?". Sometimes it has a pop up box, "would you like to accept?".
Can anyone tell me how he can delete it please. He lives 200 miles away and I don't fancy a long drive at the weekend.
Any help appreciated.

because of a music file?
wouldn't have thought unless it was a .exe file, you'd be able to download it without any worries.

Fogmaster, you hit the nail on the head. He had the virus 4 times in his MSN received files folder. I bow to your knowledge. Thanks.

i'm not sure how you get rid of it, but it's the PIC1234 file, might have a few (1)(1) after it, but it'll be in the msn revieved files folder, or where ever your brother puts the files he downloads, i'm not sure how it works, but just try and delete it, it's not really a virus it's just annoying, maybe if you move the file it might stop.

Norton wont do anything. Uninstall MSN and redownload it is the easiest way to get rid.
