It happened with PS1, but there's still a few good games coming. And lots of great old ones to play.
I wish my NES still worked. Did anyone have Shadowgate?
which do you think he plays on more?
I can tell you it isn't his machine.
So it's got mip-mapping. Whoop-de-doo. PSone games on a PS2 have mip-mapping. PC games from around 1997-98 had mip-mapping. The fact remains that the N64 struggled even when compared to the PSone.
The best comparisons I can think of are probably Wipeout 64 and Ridge Racer 64. Look at the Ridge Racer titles (namely Ridge Racer Type 4 on the PSone, which came out closest to 64). Ridge Racer 64 suffered from the dubious frame rate and trademark blurry graphics. Wipeout 64...well, it didn't really compare to the PlayStation version, which was a first-gen PSone game in any case. It had the same problems as above, and it was probably just me, or the N64 version was slower.
I think we all know why that was from playing Extreme-G; where the bad frame rate meant you could hardly see where you were going!!!
>i need a reason!!!
Playstation, muhahaha :-)
and cyclone, playstation games running on a PS2 look the same if not better than most N64 titles.
One of the BEST consoles I own!
Got 43 games for it now!
:)
And Meka Dragon, GIVE PERFECT DARK MORE ATTENTION NOW!!! It is possibly THE BEST N64 game around, along with Zelda: OoT, and is DEFINITLEY the best FPS with a BRILLIANT multiplayer mode!! And i'm still playing Zelda: MM, and it's good to see you are going to aswell! Every weekend I edge closer to completing this MASSIVE RPG-Adventure hit! And if anyone says they've completed either of the Zelda's in 10 days, there talking a load of old BALL!!
