Hurricane Helms vs Lance Storm
WWF Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri vs Scotty 2 Hotty
Val Venis vs Perry Saturn
The Godfather vs Funaki
Crash vs The Bossman
Out of that list, I would say at least three of them are entertaining match-ups. Hurricane and Lance Storm are probably 2 of the best to come out of the Alliance, Tajiri is an excellent, original wrestler as well as a Champion, and Scotty 2 Hotty has been wrestling well lately I feel, added to the fact he involved the crowd in his matches. Val Venis has also only just come back, and after competing well with Stone Cold at the Rumble is on the Heat card again, along with in my opinion one of the most dangerous men in the WWF, Perry Saturn.
Godfather may not be an excellent grappler, but he's only just come back, and he's already on Heat! Funaki...well, he's got no hopes, especially with TAKA out of action.
Crash...well, he was the most successful hardcore champion of all time, and now look at him. Bossman being on Heat I have no complaints with.
Now in my opinion, that is an excellent line-up for a Heat show. This is without the Alliance, and before the nWo really make an impact. Now what gets me, is when the nWo turn up, containing 3-5 more wrestlers, what's gonna happen to the mid-carders?? As well as being more wrestlers to put into matches, they're obviously going to take up enough mic time as well.
Tazz and Spike Dudley, the tag team champions (who are on Metal this week) are on average in one of Raw and Smackdown (the bigger shows) per week. That is sad, because they are supposedly the best tag team in the WWF, if they are champions! Christian, the European Champion, was on both Metal and Heat last week- a place that's usually reserved for Funaki, developmental talent etc!
With the nWo coming along, I foresee talented wrestlers like Christian, Test, Bradshaw, Faarooq, Scotty, Albert, Val Venis, Tazz, Spike, Gunn, Palumbo and possibly even people like Edge and the Intercontinental Champion William Regal, being left out of storylines, shows, and basically not getting enough TV time, while brawlers like Rock, Austin and oldies like Hogan get more than they deserve.
It's disappointing, and I hope that the WWF don't let this happen, but with plans for a push for the Cruiserweight Division being cancelled by Vince McMahon, I can see the current product going downhill. And this is not the fault of the wrestlers, but idiots like Vince himself who can't get enough of themselves on TV, and love the main eventers and nobody else.
Thanks for reading, Ant.

True, he was at his best with Christian. His character is just boring

Anyone noticed how totally dull Edge's entrance is?? It has nothing

I agree that Edge was at his best when he was a part of E & C as I have said in Grandprix's Banter topic, if you care to have a look. :-)

The NWO will come back and probably send lots of talented superstars onto Heat and Metal and even shows not on TV. I have heard of the APA already being on shows that aren't shown on TV quite a few times and I think that is quite bad. The APA are a very talented Tag Team and if they actually were given the chance on RAW and Smackdown more often then they could be great Tag Team Champs, as they have proved they can before.
Tazz, Spike, Christian all being on Heat and Metal ain't exactly the best thing that the WWF can do right now. These 3 are light-heavyweights (sort of) that could could shine on RAW and Smackdown if they are given the chance, but more importantly, they are champions which means they are meant to be well rated enough on the roster to get regular appearences in important matches on the upper class shows.
And if you bring in the NWO and many other Alliance superstars then we aren't likely to see many of our favourite superstars much more on RAW and Smackdown. I don't like this at all!
We all knew that the Alliance members had a contract with the WWF but we supposedly all thought that it was just for the Invasion period, but not for a few years. Brining a few of the guys that formerly played in the Alliance members was fine but it is now feeling like they are just brining the whole of the Alliance back. Here is some evidence of that. DDP, Hurricane, Lance, Test, Dudleyz, Regal, Christian, Booker T, Palumbo and many other Alliance members have just worked their way back onto WWF TV slowly and are putting some of our Light-Heavyweights and Champions off the screen.
Basically I agree that the NWO will be bad TV..... they are quite old guys anyway, we have still yet to see what they can do in the WWF. Only time will tell.....
Rant over! :D
Afro.
Personally I don't rate Scotty but involving

Well, lots of internet articles I've read have been commending him on his latest performances. Although I'm a massive fan of his, I would still say the tag team title match he had on Smackdown was the best I've seen him wrestle for a while. He was passionate, used a wide variety of moves (power-suplexes, speed and agility-missile dropkicks) and to be honest he's a much more exciting wrestler than most others.
