Last night, i decided to sit through half an hour of non-stop blabble from a fat ginger man with a beard, just to find out what that channel chose as it's top 20 games of 2002.
The results are truly shocking!

20. Dead or Alive 3 (Xbox)
19. Star wars: Jedi outcast (Pc)
18. Super Mario Sunshine (Gc)
17. The Getaway (PS2)
16. Dungion seige (pc)
15. Championship manager 01/02 (Pc)
14. Splinter cell (xbox)
13. Pikmin (gc)
12. Fifa 03 (Pc)
11. Metal Gear solid 2 (PS2)
10. Super smash bros. melee (Gc)
9. Resident evil (Gc)
8. Mafia (Pc)
7. Project gotham racing (Xbox)
6. Pro evolution soccer 2 (PS2)
5. Unreal tournament 03 (pc)
4. GTA: Vice city (PS2)
3. Medal of honour: allied assault (pc)
2. The Sims (Pc)
1. Halo (Xbox)

Now i'll point out a few off the the reasons they chose these games

The getaway - it was highly hypedn but did not disapoint (Well, there's a load of crap)

Dungion seige - It's taken hours of my time, i even missed dinner once becausre of it, my mum was yelling up the stairs, but i kept playing, for this, it must go in the chart. (Please note; This guy is about 30 and still lives with his mum!)

Championship manager 01/02- You get to play with david beckham (well.....that tells us about him...)

Mafia- You get to run around with a Tommy gun (that is all he said....wow sounds like a great game!!)

Project gotham racing- The most authentic, realistic and inventive (?????) racer i've ever played. (Load of crap)

Unreal tournament- it improves on the first one (WOW)

Medal of Honour: aa- the get to lie in the trenches with your fellow men (Oh, my god)

The sims- An excellent game, you get to contrl all these peoples lives (This excites him because he doesn't have a life of his own!), the expansion packs are well worth it and add a huge varity to the game (.........)

Halo- The single most realistic shooter i've ever played, excellent. (Yeah, it's so realistic, you're on a strange planet, blowing up all these robots and aliens, just like real life!)

Now the gamecube games ( my opinions)

Mario sunshine- I'm sorry but this si better than Pikmin, SSBM and resident evil, how is it number 18!

resident evil- much better than the sims!

SSBM- Much better than the sims!

Pikmin- Deserves to be in the top 10, at least. It's much more innovative than all the gamesin the top ten.

So that's the *TOP* twenty games of 2002, it i didn't know better i'd say it was a crap year for gaming.......

I think it started when they tried to advertise things using a pancake that talked.

> 20. Dead or Alive 3 (Xbox) - Decent beat 'em up title that's known for it's fast paced action. A good game, but certainly not great.
> 19. Star wars: Jedi outcast (Pc) - If this is referring to Jedi Knight II, then it's by all means a top twenty game. Great fun.
> 18. Super Mario Sunshine (Gc) - Amazing platformer, and the best I've played in years. But only 18? Get yer head checked mate..
> 17. The Getaway (PS2) - Overhyped game that failed to impress most people. Top twenty? Get away!
> 16. Dungion seige (pc) - Never heard of it. Most probably because it doesn't deserve to be in the top twenty.
> 15. Championship manager 01/02 (Pc) - A good game by all means, but hardly revolutionary. Not a game of the year at all.
> 14. Splinter cell (xbox) - Fantastic stealth 'em up that I can't wait for on GameCube. Yep, it's in my top twenty.
> 13. Pikmin (gc) - Amazingly innovative game that deserved higher than thirteen due to it's great gameplay and ideas.
> 12. Fifa 03 (Pc) - This was the best installment of the FIFA series, but basically, a copy of Pro Evo.
> 11. Metal Gear solid 2 (PS2) - Top class stealth game that definately deserves a place in the top ten. 11? No.
> 10. Super smash bros. melee (Gc) - A great beat 'em up, and my favourite to date. Shouldn't have beaten some titles though.
> 9. Resident evil (Gc) - Atmospheric, scary, chilling, action-packed and a puzzle every now and then. This game rocks.
> 8. Mafia (Pc) - Good fun, but too linear to beat the likes of GTA: VC. Not really a top tenner.
> 7. Project gotham racing (Xbox) - A nice driving sim, but not dominating on the fun scale. It wouldn't be in my top twenty.
> 6. Pro evolution soccer 2 (PS2) - The best football game to date. Easily. A place in the top ten, it has.
> 5. Unreal tournament 03 (pc) - Decent first person shooter that should be top twenty, not top ten.
> 4. GTA: Vice city (PS2) - Great fun, but disappointing in the way of new things. Fourth place is far too high.
> 3. Medal of honour: allied assault (pc) - There are much better first person shooters than this. Timesplitters 2, anyone?
> 2. The Sims (Pc) - Boring, repetitive and slow. This lacks long term appeal and the exp. packs do nothing for it.
> 1. Halo (Xbox) - A good FPS, but not great. Overhyped, and disappointing. Top notch vehicles, though. Shouldn't be first, but should definately get a mention.

The people at Game Network are idiots. They never mention whether a game is multiformat or not, and make games such as Tony Hawk's 4 appear as if they're PS2 exclusives. They've got a strange reluctance to praise the GameCube and that top twenty should have included:

Eternal Darkness
Star Wars Rogue Squadron II
Timesplitters 2

And more. And don't get me started on the GJ's...

Game network seems to have taken a huge nose dive since it changed the presenters of everything and left a fat ginger guy and a skinny freak sho knows less than the fat guy

What ever happened to the original funny guys off it who knew what they were talking about?

I'm probably the only one who has said anything like that (too nice to it) so i'm now gonna run off.....
