Is anyone with me when i say that Max Payne on the PS2 is an awesome game that should not be condemed by the likes of www.gamespot.com and www.ign.com , what do they want in a game that this game dosent have. Firstly they complained about the frame rate, i know it is not as good as other titles such as Gran Turismo 3 and Agent Under Fire but if I had followed their advice I wouldn't be the proud owner of one of the greatest console games ever to be desIgned i absolutley love it and i have completed it 3 times but i still want to go back for more, when these web-sites review the games it is coming from one persons opinion just like mine is here but why does it have such a big impact on gamers today. When you see the Official PS2 Magazine slating a game it puts us off but at the end of the day it is only one persons view of the game. Everything about Max Payne is excellent and the only thing i wish is that it was twice as long. Does anyone know when Max Payne 2 will be released in the UK on the PS2 because i cant wait to get my hands on the sequel to this superb console title, WELL DONE ROCKSTAR!

No Max Payne isnt old on the PC. It came out about August time last year. The PC version and X-Box are both better versions of the game.

Ye, PS2 version is inferior when compared to the X-box and PC version.

exactly these places are comparing one the best games on the ps2 to an old pc game. it's a pity, but the same applies the other way round when metal gear solid was released on the pc it got bad scores on review sites because the idea had already been done.

I think why some places arent giving Max Payne a good score is because on the PS2 it is the worst version. The PC version of the game got 9.1 from Gamespot which is a really good score. And the X-Box version got 9.2. Why the PS2 version only gets 8.0, is because it has a band frame rate e.t.c and isnt as good as the other versions.
