I personally think that, for £150,

Likewise with the Gamecube.
If I DID have enough money for a PS2 as well as the GC then I would certainly get one.
Those who want a GC are likely to buy one even if Sony were giving away PS2's. Each machine will have more than enough users - it's just a question of market share, which Sony already lead by a massive margin.
I personally think that, for £150, any fan of games would be mad not to pick up a PS2.

I know...but they think the GBA will help sell the GC coz it is compatible with it.

Either they genuinely like Europeans or they want to get more consoles into home to sell games too.
