"Wipeout Fusion - Official Thread"

According to playnationmag.co.uk, this game is out tomorrow (31 Jan), I take it this is incorrect, and release date is 8th Feb as everyone states.
Plus I thought it was time a Wipeout thread was started, what did you all think of the demo's ?, I personally have never bought a Wipeout game before, this will be my first, slowdown and all.

I thought Extreme G 3 was pretty good, one thing that annoyed me though was the way you were dumped at the beginning of a league again so easily - especially in 2 player mode >:-(

Looking forward to Wipeout Fusion though :-)

I thought Extreme G was boring, expecting Wipeout to be alot better and longer lasting.

Do you think Wipeout will be better than Extreme G III?? That was pretty good!!

The demo on the latest mag plays good. It has music, weapons, 15 other racers e.t.c. Looks to me as this is a demo from the finished game.

Half-Pint has a copy that his grandparents sent him from Australia. He says the finished article is much better than the demos, I think I may hire it first, but I will not be rushing out to buy it.

If you want to know more about the game (without spoilling it too much) there is already a faq on gamefaqs.com, from someone is Austalia (who got the PAL version three weeks ago!).

By the looks of it this will be arriving along with State Of Emergency and Ace Combat 4 on the 8th :-)

So next week I'll be buying 3 new games by the looks of it ;-))

I loved the demo. I thought it was great. I'll definitely be getting this.

There seems so much to complete, have you seen shots of the "game stats" screen ?
Nice to see a "Sony" game that will last more than ten hours without repeated play !
