Gamecube sold aproximatly 1.5 million consoles in europe last year... 1.4 million was the aprox for the X-box...
released a few months earlier.... better value for money and giving away free games?
Heavy marketing push and all as well as a killer ap for christmas.
And Nintendo still managed to overtake?
And all those X-box fanboys were saying how losing Rare has meant Nintendo have died in the sales...

XBox has had to give away two free games and has still only sold 1.4million with an extra quarter of a year in the market.
