Hi

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good animation package for a PC, something that I can use for graphics to put to a Video tape. The type of graphics like they use on TV for news, sports results, etc.

I currently use DPaintIV for the Amiga - which is a brill program even though its ancient, but I want to try out on the PC now.

Thanks for your help!

Darron.

I agree, use After Effects and don't use Flash 5.

On another note...

DPIV ROCKS!!! What Amiga have you got? I have a C1200, do you? I used DPIV the time, I was thinking of emulating it on my PC. It's a shame a mobile-phone related incident wiped all my disks :(

I'm sure Adobe do something called "After Effects" which is specifically aimed at people who want to edit video. Try http://www.adobe.com/motion/main.html for a demo.

I would not advise trying to edit video in Flash unless you have a high spec PC and you actually don't want to use full screen FMV. Flash is not designed to handle that kind of stuff, though I think it can output .avi files, you wouldn't want to start making Hollywood movies in Flash
