The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
This is from a person that does freelance reviews and spends a lot of time writing something that will describe a movie/game with an individual style.
And more importantly, writing it myself because I love to do that.
Right, with that out of the way:
"That firstly, editing a review is fine and not a copying offence, and that you can actually make a decent review from another review."
This is your excuse for ripping off, yet again, another review.
Editing is EXACTLY the same as copying.
It shows a lack of imagination and pure laziness, and seeing as games are given to reviews, it also reeks of cheating to obtain things you did not deserve.
This is just me talking here, with no demands for punishment at all, that is nothing to do with me at all.
I cannot believe, yet again, you are cribbing from other people's work.
I've had that done to me twice before, in print.
A few words changed around and guess what happened?
They got sued.
So "editing" is exactly the same as plagarising someone, there is no difference whatsoever.
I cannot stand people that are too stupid/lazy/illiterate to work for themselves.
You've been banned time and time again for doing this, and to offer the excuse of "editing" is weak and highlights the problem all too common these days of other people abusing the trust of others.
This is nothing to do with "BAN SHANEO!" or "I HATE SHANEO".
This isn't a plot against you, this is a writer expressing his disgust at the laziness of someone willing to take credit for the time spent by someone else actually bothering to write.
Shame on you.

Shocking.
I read that review and found it to be a very interesting read. Great stuff!
It WAS GAD worthy but SR must have found osmething better. Shame.
Also if you copy a reveiw it means that you don't have the talent or just can't be botherd to try and win a GAD honestly.
If you stick at it and post honest reveiws it should eventually pay off. It did for me. and you know what I used to be like.
I came close to copying a reveiw but I managed to stop myself from doing it.

Yeah, I've done the same thing with my Sleepy Hollow review. If I can't remember the name of an actor or director, then I might look for a review that has their names.
Although, I've never had much success with reviews, so I don't write many. Once every month or so, probably.
If Spielberg won an oscar, I should have won GAD.
Shocking.
> Yeah, if you're going to copy, at least make sure you disguise it.
Like I

Why didn't I win GAD for that review? It's bloody genius.
Goaty you're not supposed BRAG about it!
Like I did.
Why didn't I win GAD for that review? It's bloody genius.
That Jaws review isn't his own work.

Just look at it.
;-)
The whole point of a review is to offer a personal opinion on the merits/disadvantages of a game or movie.
Why be so insistent on trying to prove RBS copied something?
This is another example of why if you find someone has copied, email [email protected] and mention it quietly.
Naming people only causes ill-feeling and with your history Shaneo, you should be the last person to do that.
For heaven's sake, just write reviews because you have something to offer about a game.
If I'm writing a review, I'll look at another review, but not to 'borrow' the sentiments of another writer, but to check on names of characters and the like, because when it comes to names, my I just don't remember them.
A review is all about telling us how you feel about something. Did you enjoy it? How did it make you feel? Not your ability to borrow one-liners from someone with a little talent.
