Advertising is an important aspect in today's market of world video-gaming, so is timing. Of course you've got to have a good piece of kit to sell, but without the first two you're more or less guaranteed failure. You see, the Neo Geo PC (pocket colour) was a very powerful little machine that had some great games - if only a few. And it should of beaten the GBC - or at least rivalled it, after all it did have about 10 times the graphics power and memory, but the public refused it, and so the only way to get games for it is through import. It arrived last year and was dubbed by Special Reserve as 'this year's must have' but no-one cared, or at least bothered to care, they all had GameBoy's or GBCs and a good games collection, so the Neo Geo was always going to have an uphill struggle - to convert nearly 20 milllion UK gameboy owners to a relatively unheard of machine is impossible. And so the demise of the super handheld was here.
A great shame, but if you still want games then check out import sites

Whatever happened to Sega's handheld thingy whatchamacallit? I used to own one, but can't remember what it was called, so impressed was I. (Starting to sound like Yoda here, sorry.)

And how big a market do the handhelds have in the gaming industry, not that great a percentage when you compare them to consoles. Personally, the handheld never really appealed to me, except perhaps the ability to play Tetris on the M25 motorway when stuck in traffic.

I prefer to concentrate on games I play, and the handheld doesn't really offer me that capability, so I shun it.
