Okay, with the FA Cup fourth round over it seems like a good time to take a serious look at who will now go on to win the league:

Manchester United:
Until last week, everyone's favourites, off of the back of a nine game winning streak. Of course everyone forgot that they didn't beat anyone of any kind of quality, and Ferguson seems intent on playing any formation that won't work. Beckham can't be bothered anymore cos it not England, and Veron wants to play the ball 70 yards to the opposition full-backs everytime he gets the thing.

Arsenal:
Have no real chance of winning the league cos in a few games time they are going to have to turn to Tottenham's youth team for players as all of theirs will be suspended. Also unless Arsene Wenger gets some glasses so that he eventually sees one of the 50-odd sendings off under his team he won't be able to do anything about the problem.

Leeds:
O'Leary's babies are still too young to win the league surely? Even though Alan Smith is making his own attempt to get sent off more than Arsenal's entire squad.

Chelsea:
Not too encouraging when your manager comes on and laughs at his own team saying "I don't know, we are CRAZY!" when asked to explain how they can dump all over Man U, then lose to Bolton.

Liverpool:
Seem intent on not actually playing football, but instead smash the thing as far away from their box as possible, then let Michael Owen score a hat-trick, and walk off with the points. As long as Riise doesn't keep trying to score the best own-goals in history of course. Heskey still doesn't seem to know where the goal is, and it surely can't be long before Anelka decides he's been mistreated.

Newcastle:
Confounded everyone by doing so well, might win it as long as Bobby Robson remembers that Sunderland no longer play at Roker Park, and can call his players by the right name long enough to tell them what to do.

Conclusion:
No-one will win the league. Everyone will get board of football and join the American Express Tiddly-winks world championship.

If Arsenal and Newcastle both win their 2 games in hand over Utd, they will go first and second. And Utd will not be four points clear for long.

Forlan didn't get it, and i'm sure Di Canio won't either! Even if he does sign! I don't think he will though, West Ham would want loads more than £3m for him, and a £1.75m initial bid is rediculous, United even know that!!

He's saving up for a player like Kluivert, a proven goal-scorer. And if news of Liverpool's £25m bid is true, then i'm sure United won't be too far behind (or infront!)!

I feel the premier league could be one by no less then five teams this season because everyone is beating each other. Can all of these teams live up to the name TITLE CHALLANGERS, well that is what I am going to predict so here goes.

The reigning champions MAN UNITED just 2 games before looked like they were back on track to run away with the premeirship crown once more but a recent run of form could prove to be costly. Man united obviously have a world class team but still they lack some quality defenders and a complacent goalkeeper so they still look very vulnerable and look as though they could be beat two or three more times. With players like Van Nistelrooy, juan sebastian Veron, David Beckham and Gary Neville(NOT)so they have the quality there so I think they are still in hunt for the fouth successive championship but I predict runners up.

Last years runners up Arsenal have looked the best team in it so far and having scored in every game they've been involved in they have no shortage of goals. The one problem I would associate Arsenal with suprisenly is there defence but there were signs that it has been sorted out aganist Liverpool in the F.A cup so if they buck up there defence and very strange home record then they are my favourites.

There has been reports lately that Arsenal are to sign PSV,s Dutchman Van Bommel for 15million pounds. Reports say he is to replace the great Patrick Vieira but I believe this is another sign that Arsenal are showning the signs of good ambition which is what Vieira wanted, may just persuade Patrick to stay at the Gunners. The new stadium is a big step torwards becoming one of the worlds best and that could also play torwards Vieira,s thoughts of the club.

Last years Third place Liverpool looked like it could be there year at the beggining of the season but a huge dip of form in which they won just once in ten games has been a massive setback to the club. Also I think the club massively miss gafer Houllier who got them where they are now and is not there to continue the job. I think it has been very unfortunate that Liverpool caretaker boss Phil Thompson has had to take some of the criticism for the poor results but I think that would happen to any caretaker boss if there manager was lying in a hospital bed. I think Liverpool's weakness is the mid-field which is good but I don't think it is championship level so if they can invest in some talent in that area to play around the ever growing star Stevfen Gerrard then I think they can do some damage but I predict that they will finish fourth.

Last years fourth place Leeds have had a good season but off the pitch trouble has made the headlines for the wrong reasons. I think like Liverpool, Leeds have a don't have a good enough mid-field but they make up in other areas. There forward line is a very good one with Mark Viduka and the recent signing Robbie Fowler looking stronger every game. They also have some good quality substitutes like Robbie Keane and Alan Smith and soon Micheal Bridges is set for a comeback so there is no shortage of class there. There back four is very strong with Ian Harte left back who is a free kick specialist and centre backs Rio Ferdinand and Jonathan Woodgate who may well be the future England centre backs. Right back they have Danny Mills who is a good player but he cannot handle the pressure of being out played because he ends up getting sent off. So if Leeds can invest in the middle of the park then they can push for the championship but I think this year is a good third place.

The suprise package Newcastle have looked very strong and have scored plenty of goals but I think they lack quality at the back because they have no world class players there but in the mid-field and the the attacking line they have plenty of class. Kieron Dyer has looked better and better each game since coming back from injury and I would expect to see hime in japan and korea. Alan Shearer and Craig Bellemay have showed what a good pairing they are and have caused problems where ever they've been so they can certainly score goals. Newcastle because of a few weaknesses I rate as a challeging team but unfortunately not enough quality in defence so fifth place well done Bobby.

Good luck to every team in the hunt for gold I hope you continue to produce a fascinating finish to the season
Thanks for reading.

I'm starting to have my doubtd again, as to wether we will or will not win the league! Recently, up untill the Liverpool game, I was begining to realise we did have a chance! But looking at the Boro game, i'm not too sure...

If United don't win it, then I want Leeds to! They deserve it, as they're the title challengers with the most number of Brittish players. Which'll show that you don't need Johnny foreigners to win the league, it's just truely Brittish football at it's finest!

But if they don't win it, then I want Liverpool, Newcastle or Chelsea to win it. I honestly don't care who does win it, just as long as it's not those bloomin' GUNNERS!!!! I hate Arsenal fans when they win! They get really cocky and think they can win it all!!

I still think Leeds are the dark horses to be honest, they aren't in any more cups at all, so no more distractions. Fowler is on form, they still have loads of players to come back, (Dacourt, Kewell, Bridges and Keane for a start) and they are still in and around the top. When United, Liverpool and Arsenal have to start putting out weaker sides before European games, Leeds won't have to.

But as you say, Man U and Arsenal will still be there at the end.

And Bobby Robson HAS lost his marbles:

Man Utd or Arsenal. Simple as that I think.

Big game at Old trafford between the two on April 13th. Possible championship Decider.

One thing about Man Utd this season. They havnt beaten any of the title contenders (bar Newcastle). Lost to Liverpool twice, Lost to chelsea at Old trafford, drew with Leeds at home, Lost to Arsenal at Highbury...Lost to Newcastle Away. Not really good is it? You cant be thinking of winning the title if you cant beat your rivals. 4 points out of a possible 18, cant be giving away points to rivals.

And Van Nistelrooy, not been a man for the big occasions in the premiership. The only title contendoers he has scored against are Newcastle. His goals have dried eup everytime we play a quality team in the premier...although that could be down to Fergie making him play on his own every time we play against top teams...

Important games for United Left.

Arsenal at home
Chelsea away
Leeds away.

Win these three, and the title should stay at Old Trafford.

Bobby Robson rules.

10 years ago I saw an interview with him, and thought he'd lost his marbles, but he's still going. Excellent.

I reckon Arsenal have got a realistic chance of winning it this year. Leeds are in with a chance, and you can't really discount Man Utd.

I reckon Liverpool are missing Houlier too much now. Chelsea are too inconsistent, and Newcastle defy logic, so they might just win the bloody thing!
