"Live wasn't that great!"

Live has been unfaithful and it all promised so, so much.

I was just checking the old boys downstairs after a talk in school about testicular cancer and well it looks like there is something there that shouldn't be there.

I learned a bit about it and I am pretty sure it is nothing much... a cist or something caused by a kick in the nadgers which well happened to me a lot in the past. But really I don't know what to think and should probably tell parents or doctor or something.

So it looks like I'm going to die... its a shame as well I was hoping to live a bit longer... life isn't that great.

I shouldn't need to go through this crap at this age.

A sist is like... it's a kinda roundish, spherical lump. It hardly hurts at all when you press it, and it's not entirely solid, but it does give a little. Semi spongy, you could say.

Sheepy, really, don't worry. I've been down that path, and I know exactly what's going on in your head. But I really do need to talk to you, so come on MSN when you can, please.

Well done on going to tell parents. It took me a month before I could. I mean Christ, you admitted to everyone on here what seems like a few days after you found it. Took me six bloody months, and I STILL haven't told my outside friends about what went on...

I've kept checking and I don't think it's a lump. In fact, I'm 99% sure because it doesn't feel like a lump anymore and it hasn't grown over the past year.

But it's worrying, isn't it?? We don't know enough these days. When I was about 8 I found a lump on the side of my leg, which turned out to be a bit of tissue which had been damaged by a kick to the leg in a game of football. I thought it was cancer, and bawled my eyes out.

Hope everything is okay Sheepy, get it sorted out as soon as possible mate.

Ah well I can't spell life or sist.

Better tell mum tommorrow... oh I won't be able to stop laughing.

I'm going to be back here tommorrow, as early as I can. You need to speak to me. Doctors can tell you crap, but I can tell you what it's like.

Sheepy, I know EXACTLY how you feel.

I found a sist on my testicle exactly as you did, and I utterly believed it to be cancer. Not only have you found a sist, like I did, but you're the same age as me... I was about to go through my 16th birthday, and I found it.

This is what I kept so long from you lot, and why it was difficult to tell people about it. Trust me, you WILL live. The first thing you've got to get into your head is you will live.

Why? Because it's a sist. I know you think I'm just saying that to comfort you, and we're not all the same... but it is. You'll have some ultrasound scans to make sure, but they'll just tell you exactly what I've told you now.

Testicular sists are extremely common, and you are never ****ing ever told this. They go on about "if you have a lump you will die", but not all lumps are cancer.

You need someone to speak to? I'm here. I have been exactly what you're going through, and I've come out stronger at the end. I can help you, and you damn well know I can.

Come on MSN and talk to me.

Get to your doctors NOW! Don't leave it any longer in case it grows into cancer.

Drop everything, turn off the computer, screw the TV, just go the doctors. You should feel better once you've had it checked out. I can understand feeling dodgy about having to show a doctor you "guys", but do it! We don't want you to die!

I just checked my guys after that, and they're fine. Phew. I should make it a regular "visit" to be safe and so should all of you strapping lads out there!
