I feel like Capcom just sat on my face and took a bit crap in my mouth. It now turns out that the Capcom 4 (killer 7, Project 03, Dead Phoenix, Viewtiful Joe) are not actually exclusive to Cube after all.

Even though they announced they where. 'apparently' there was a mix up in translation and all along they where saying that they weren't gonna be exclusive.

*cough* bollo>< *cough*

So ummm there you have it. I suppose at leas they're being developed with the Cube in mind and we won't be getting dodgy ports....but still.

*shakes fist at Capcom*

I would have thought that all the games would be 'Cube exclusives anyway.

After all it was Shinji Mikami who set up Capcom 4 wasn't it? He was the one who announced Resident Evil would be exclusive and hates the PS2.

They are big titles, they are very Nintendo and they are all very special. They are made using the GC's hardware, it will work badly for a GC-PS2 port even a GC-X-box port would be bad. Seriously a port of an x-box game to the Gamecube may mean a slight graphical downgrade but not too noticable (unless it is seriously top end) but will be essentially the same game, a port of a PS2 game is very straightforward and a port of a Gamecube game isn't.... Capcom look set to use some of Gamecube's great special effects and other specialist hardware tools that mean you can do stuff you couldn't on other systems.. It will mean large chunks of the game will have to be edited or removed when being pushed on other consoles.

Well then, we'll just have to make sure every GC owner we all know picks up a copy of each..

I don't think Capcom have any plans to release the games on other formats in the near future, I think it's more of a case of making sure that if they need to in the future there's nothing stopping them releasing them multi-format to get a bit of extra cash.

This is just me guessing so I could be wrong.....most likely.

"Well actually the English word for 'exclusive' is remarkably close to the Japanese word for 'multi-format'"

I said that exclusivity means nothing to Capcom. But it wouldn't surprise if they still ARE exclusive, as even they don't seem to know what they're doing anymore.

To make more money... not it isn't 6 month exclusive... if they make it for other platforms it will simply be used to make money, it will have watered down graphics on both consoles and the controls won't be as tight.
