Whilst NGC does include mistakes, it is normally pathetic ones such as they got the date muddled or something... a mis hearing of information on the behalf. G-force magazine (the original) featured so many mistakes that I questioned if the magazine knew what it was on about, Super Monkey Ball not a Gamecube launch title, no point in getting Resident Evil again if you have the PS1 original?

That was just the start... I only got a second issue because my letter was in it and I STILL haven't got the prizes.

Anyway now CUBE has been a new magazine for me, i have followed NGC since N64 magazine but CUBE i have followed for ages... Until now.

When the Starfox review was released I thought it was too odd that one magazine thought it was the best Game on the Gamecube whilst the other said it is highly dissapointing for a RAre game but alright. It became apparent NGC were maybe a tad harsh but CUBE were far to generous... i seem to remember NGC making a big deal out of getting an exclusive review... so did CUBE write a shoddy review on the hope to steal NGC's fire. Reading the review certainly made me think a little, CUBE don't hark on much at all about intricate parts of the gameplay, instead the under a page of writing that was the games review mainly harked on about how it has made them re-think their score system and that as an overall package beats Mario... 1: Highly unlikely 2: Can I hear a bit about the game.

NGC harked on about the negative points a bit too much but still look at it all and described in depth what it offers... CUBE didn't. Nevertheless I let them off and anticipated their next issue... it was fine but there most recent one is diabolical!

The free gift is every Gamecube game mini reviewed... yep including Rogue Leader TWICE, not printed twice but two totally different reviews one under R and the other under S (star wars)... erm hang on?

And now read this EXCLUSIVE Zelda review... I don't doubt they have it but read this tiny review and tell me what it tells you? Not much about the length at all, they say its long but how long exactly, is it as long as previous Zelda's, how do you save? Crappy like Majora's Mask or handy like Ocarina of Time. How does the story unfold exactly, is there many cut scenes, what does the game feel like?

Nope instead the mentioned simply the graphical style again and the gameplay... and the gameplay was explained using an example of a gull carrying a pear in its mouth that allows you to control it... TWICE. He mentioned it once and then in slightly different phrasing he wrote it again claiming the exact same point... how quickly did he write this review because he couldn't deliberatly make the exact same obseravation twice in the same review deliberatly! And were the editors on holiday?

Has he played past the second dungeon?

Pish still 97% seems about right... although I'll wait for the far more superior and understand NGC that will cover all aspects and use multiple examples and not one claiming that can't mention two or three as it'll ruin the Zelda experience...

How I laughed.

Ive stuck with NGC since issue 32. To be honest i havent found a magazine that combines objectivity and humour so well. And the magazine features good interactivity, with letters, tips and the NGC league tables.
