I don't like GTA3. I don't like vice city. They bore me, they annoy me. They just make me think they're what an 'adult' game would be if it was designed by 14 year old boys with hormone overdoses.

That is all.

I enjoyed it for what it was.

However, given a choice between that and the upcoming Zelda game, I'd choose Zelda ten times out of nine.

GTA games have never appealed to me much, I bought GTA 3 for my now departed PS2, played it a bit but though it a bit repetitive.

My brother wanted it so we got it

I like the graphics and gameplay but after I've blown up my 57th Jeep I got a little bored, it's good though.

The third island is really crap though

Yeah, im not to sure about that... I think many people will disagree with you when they say it was better in 2D..... however, I kinda understand what you mean, the 2D versions and 3D versions do play very, very differently. I loved the 2D version, however, I also like the 3D one. In my view though, the 2D version had more character. IN GTA Vice City, its taken much more seriously, whereas in GTA 1 I always used to have a laugh hijacking really nice cars and selling them. It was also funny when you were running over a bridge in GTA 1 and the police were following you from the bottom, however because they could not climb a bridge, they followed you from below... the realyl funny thing, was making them follow you over water.... as soon as u went over a bridge over water, they would fall straight in. This was such a poor glith, but really funny. Its those little things that in my view made GTA feel more special..
However, you can actually change the camera angle in GTA3. You can play it like the original series.

I know that GTA Vice City isnt for everyone (it is for most people, including me).... But even if you dont like it, I think we still have to appreciate the amazing improvement BMG did with GTA 3...... Just look at GTA 2 and compare it with GTA3, gonig from a simple 2D game to a complex 3D game is a pretty great step-up. However, I suppose the GTA series going 3D was just inevitable.
