How are we doing guys? I got to admit that I hate gravel, I prefer tarmac or ice. But so far so good. I`m currently on 7.35.02.

oh right...i ill probably play it at his house before then any way so i will try then....shame there aren't more weeks....perhaps we could set up our own challenge weeks g1nger.....can u do that?

Yeh, there are 4 Challenges, last week, this week and for the next 2 weeks. But if you write down the codes you can try them at your leisure. Last week L5020K, this week PHY8ZP.

My mates getting the game on tuesday....after about 2 weeks he will lend me it (probably) so will i be 2 late to enter any challenge weeks?

Only stage I have gone better on is the third where I can knock another second off.

Yepp, tell me about it... I get angry when I miss a corner and you're not supposed to get angry when youäre supposed to have fun. :)

My theoretical time is 1.56.40+3.09.04+2.12.48 = 7.17.92 but my pratical time (all in one go) is 1.57.10 + 3.10.22 + 2.15.74 = 7.23.06 and it really stinks to be so much slower when it counts. :(

Yeah well, no strategies really. I'm just trying to keep my head cool and not to crash out. I think the first thing is that you have to know the course by heart (which is the easiest part, right;)) and secondly, at least for me, comes avoiding mistakes. I mean, I better take it a little slower than go even slightly out of the road. This far it has worked well.

I still have some reserves, but now I've come to the point where it's tough to put them all into one performance, I mean, I've had some really good goes on the first two stages and then I screw everything up on the third.

Also, the last "right four" of stage two has become a problem for me (wasn't before:)), I keep sliding out there, probably because I'm nervous as the end of the stage is so close...

All in all, I'm getting just a little bored - the thing is getting so hard that its not fun anymore, and fun is the reason why I have my ps2. So I seriously think of leaving it to that for this weekend.

Well, maybe some more at night, when girls are in bed...

1.58.50 + 3.13.24 + 2.16.14 = 7.27.88,
could have gone second and half on stage 3 but thats another story.
When you start to remember these stages/corners there is some time to be made cutting one corner in preparation for the next.
I'm 110th in the UK !!!

Diplomat, how do you manage to get 3.10 on the second stage? Do you have any driving strategies you'd like to share? I just managed 7.23.54, but it's really, really hard to cut time on these stages.

I think the first "right 5" corner on the second stage can save a lot of time if you take it correctly.

I played for an hour last night, best time was
2.00.76 + 3.14.76 + 2.15.66 = 7.31.18
Big improvement (8 secs) for me, but I know I can knock another 4/5 seconds off that, the 2nd stage is the hard one, have done 1.59.26 on 1st stage then lost it on 2nd !
Will try again tonight.

i'm getting better....my time has gone down too 7.55.88 but then i went haywire.
