Of any use

Looking for facts on my Geography essay:

" Is water the oil of the 21st century "

For every page with something half useful you get about 50 consisting of crap or that don't work anymore.

Careful with this, cos some of the stuff is terrible, and the good bits have 'from essaybank.co.uk' stuck in the document somewhere

Excellent Bellandy, thanks very much.

I know, I made the question up myself after reading an article about conflicts arising in the Third World over water ownership.

Cheers again

Oh, and in answer to the question, oil is the water of the twenty first century because people die without it and there is little alternative. you won't see wars over bottled water, but you will eventually see them over the source of supplies, and the real problem is you have the smallest, unsfaest, supplies where the most people are - the third world, developing nations e.t.c., whilst the safest and largest supplies are where they are less needed - in the west.

http://www.tve.org/earthreport /transcript/22Jan2001.html - not sure about this one

Also there is a brilliant chapter in a book called "Fighting For The Future" which predicts conflict over resources more vital to life than oil, author is Ralph Peters but it may be very hard to get a look at it over here as it never got a UK release and I suspect it's quite rare here.

Also this http://www.ntu.ac.uk/lis/geog.htm - you won't be able to access the NTU only stuff but there's a few websites there for development/geography kinda topics

Hope some of this is helpful,

I am always coming across websites that have no absolute link to what I want to find. You know, the last couple of 100 sites are just anything at all, including porno.

lol, nice.

Search engines have always been crap for finding specific information. Read a book instead.
