I've got loads of gift vouchers from family seeing as it is my birthday tommorow...so start the celebrations people.
Anyway, just been looking at all the Cube games and figured I either have the games that I want or they are coming out in the future. So now I go to my B-list and look at some videos/reviews of games I want secondly.
I was looking at NHL 2003/NHL Hitz 2003 (whats the difference?) and MX Superfly as I heard someone say it was good at some point. Ice Hockey looked boring as I can never see where the puc is and its the same old score goal, hit, score goal stuff. So I looked more at Superfly.
Got somes videos on it and it looks pretty good graphically but I was just wondering what it was like gameplay wise. The thing I hated in the videos was that whenever a jump was made it went into anti-gravity mode and even the smallest jumps took forever to land. Then the character would do a trick, like a loop, and the guy on the bike would do it so slow. If I was able to do a loop on a bike I would have to do it much faster. Also I hate all those tricks you can do on bikes, they are just like stick your legs out to the side or spread out your arms like your a Superfly.
But saying that, it could still prove great fun and all.
So here I am asking you, if you own the game or have played it, what it is like and whats the best bits, worst bits and all that.
Oh and if you have any other recommendations say them also. The best shop on the list of shops I can use the vouchers in are HMV and they never have any music I am looking for in there (apart from Thursday who they bring in two weeks after I've ordered it from America grrrr).
Godzilla? Hmmmm
I *might* be getting Far 'Water & Solutions' today. There were 2 on Ebay. I was watching one, which was $2 until about 5 minutes till the end. Then it got 10 more bids on it in the last 5 mins... :-S Went from $2 to $14 in no time, and I didn't get it (damn snipers... When I snipe it's cool, when others do it, they suck). But I'm watching another copy (this one in £ not $... the other was a seller in the UK but had listed the CD in $ so he'd get Americans bidding too... hopefully cos this one is in £ there won't be as many people wanting it...)
Anyway. Cube games. Looking at your list of games from the other thread, you might want Eternal Darkness or Resident Evil. If a bit of zombie bashing isn't your thing then maybe Tony Hawks 4 (if skateboarding hasn't got boring after three games...) or Die Hard (if you fancy shooting some people after TimeSplitters).
Aside from those you might be able to pick up a cheap copy of something like Pikmin or Doshin... Or you could just save the vouchers for when something else is released...
I traded that in too.
SSX Tricky is much better.
I chose it for GAD and boy did I regret it. The handling's too floaty, 50% of the time you slide round a corner and for seemingly no reason fall of your bike. The tracks are dull and boring, the commentary is more annoying than pubic lice. The trick system is about as much fun coating your dong in meat paste and feeding it to some piranhas. It's stupidly infuriatingly hard, beleive me this isn't the kind of hard that's challenging this is the kind of hard where you throw your controller across the room and smash the TV with your fist.
It's crap, crap, crappety crap.
Trust me, you don't want this game.
That is of course if you don't already have it.
