I've got loads of gift vouchers from family seeing as it is my birthday tommorow...so start the celebrations people.
Anyway, just been looking at all the Cube games and figured I either have the games that I want or they are coming out in the future. So now I go to my B-list and look at some videos/reviews of games I want secondly.
I was looking at NHL 2003/NHL Hitz 2003 (whats the difference?) and MX Superfly as I heard someone say it was good at some point. Ice Hockey looked boring as I can never see where the puc is and its the same old score goal, hit, score goal stuff. So I looked more at Superfly.
Got somes videos on it and it looks pretty good graphically but I was just wondering what it was like gameplay wise. The thing I hated in the videos was that whenever a jump was made it went into anti-gravity mode and even the smallest jumps took forever to land. Then the character would do a trick, like a loop, and the guy on the bike would do it so slow. If I was able to do a loop on a bike I would have to do it much faster. Also I hate all those tricks you can do on bikes, they are just like stick your legs out to the side or spread out your arms like your a Superfly.
But saying that, it could still prove great fun and all.
So here I am asking you, if you own the game or have played it, what it is like and whats the best bits, worst bits and all that.
Oh and if you have any other recommendations say them also. The best shop on the list of shops I can use the vouchers in are HMV and they never have any music I am looking for in there (apart from Thursday who they bring in two weeks after I've ordered it from America grrrr).
Godzilla? Hmmmm
> Tiltawhirl, am I right in saying you feel like your driving on the
> moon in Superfly?
It's is damn floaty, you can hit big jumps and take feckin aaaaaages to come down.
You also feel like you're driving in some alternate reality where everyone's punching you in the face, kicking you in the nads and it just sucks.
Beleive me, you don't want Superfly.
If you want the best Motocross game on Cube then you'd be best goin for Freekstyle I think. Supposedly much better, or ou could just get the best motocross game ever and get Excitebike 64.
Godzilla though, have been intrested in that for a long time. Seeing videos it looks really slow compared to other beat em ups but still pretty fun with the building smashing and all that. So, is it slow?
Godzilla rules. I'd take it over smash bros.
Rocky also rules. And you can hunt it out for £20. Buy two.
If you don't like the films, that might detract from the games a bit, but they still both rule.
:^)
> Ouchie!
Yeah it's that bad, apparently.
>The tracks are dull and boring, the commentary is more annoying than pubic lice.
I don't know about that one but I'll take your word for it if you are able to use that as a comparism!
>The trick system is about as much fun coating your dong in meat paste and feeding it to some piranhas.
Ouchie!
:-(
It says "Cool Dude". Go me?
the commentary is more annoying than pubic lice.
I can relate to that.
So Superfly is pants...Tricky (which i was looking at also) I will probably forget about until 1080 comes out.
Godzilla, it looks slow?
Hmmmmm now I'm lost with what to get and may just save the vouchers, but I want stuff. Eternal Darkness seriously will not be my type of game and that's why I haven't bought it yet, otherwise I would of got it a long time ago. Resident Evil I hated.
Tony Hawks 4 I want instead of Tony Hawks 3 and that's why I'm not playing it so I can go swap it next time I go Lakeside. Is there talk of a Tony Hawks 5? There must be...
Sibs, don't get me wrong, some of the stuff on Water and Solutions I love and some of it now just seems really bland and basic for some reason. I prefer Tin Cans With Strings To You over it now, as it is good fun and all. But still I'd say W&S was more a record you would enjoy. I still do, just not as much. Hmmmmm might use the vouchers for Music.
