There seem to be an aweful lot of topics in the forums about the size of games discs, and comparisons between them. Why?

People are saying that the GC disc holds less information than the PS2 DVDs, and hence games will be smaller- far from it.

Think about it- the PS2 DVDs are a dozen times bigger than the PS1 discs. Are games any bigger? If anything, I've found they've been smaller so far- FF7 on the PSX is far bigger than any PS2 game.

So why is it that people think that GC games will be smaller than PS2 games because of the size of the disc capacity. It's pure non-sense... games can just be put on more than one disc!

I've told you before Strafex, The extra cut scene on CVX was intended for the dreamcast release, Thats hardly filling up space!!!

But having to change discs during a game can really annoy people, including myself. Especially when you're well into a game, and don't wanna stop for even a single second. So multiple discs would really be annoying, and it's more of a Microsoft or Sony thing. Maybe it'll happen with the X-box, and we'll see it fail due to that??

If someone says that PS2 has bigger discs so bigger games, they are misonformed... have they never heard of using multiple discs???

You'd think they would have, as many PC, and PSX games have used over disc...

Oracle of Ages is great. Big game, on a tiny Gameboy Colour cartridge.

I think that proves the point.

I don't think any company has truly explored the DVD capactity yet have they really?

All we've seen so far, is more and more FMV cut-sequences and yet little substance.

Will be interesting to see what is to come in the coming months...

Some PS2 games are still coming out on CD...I the CDs were only gonna be around for the first few months near the launch, but Pro Evolution Soccer (which was released 2 months ago) came out on CD!

Yeah. Bar Final Fantasy, PS2 DVD's are just filled with bonus music and FMV to fill the space - like resident Evil Code Veronica.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
