it is kinda, if you did more research on your nuclear devices, you would see that it's the radiatian that would kill you first. The same radiation from the sun gives you a sun tan, but is weakened due to both the huge distance (93 million miles) between the earth and the sun, and the Ozone layer. ALas, they don't protect you from your next door neighbours nuclear farts.
