Saw the end of a game show on itv1 the other day. They had a brand new modile on it with a MotoGP like game running. I know I have said the GBA was not good as expected, and this proves it. This MotoGP clone on this new mobile looked far more realistic, sharper, than any GBA racer. This was at least as good as PS1. This new mobile is due out a bit later this year. If it can handle racers that well, then slower games are going to be no problem what so ever.

No, if they're 30 and own a GBA, then they're intelligent and secure in the knowledge that they're owning something excellent. Wheras someone who owns a phone to play games on is an idiot.

Iiiiiidiots. All of them. Even you. And you. And him over in the corner.

if 30 year olds do have a fone they are hanging on to youth, and what if they play a GBA they are also hanging on to youth am i correct?

but still i think fones are full of crap the only good extra on a fone is a radio so you can listen to music instead of having to walk around borred.

Mobile phones, should be able to make phone calls, and (possibly) send text messages.
Anything else is pointless crap added on for lifeless teenage girls who need to use them as social-standing rank guides and teenage boys who need to use them as genital extensions. Or gadget junkies and 30-somethings who are desperately trying to hang onto their youth.

I think u miss the point. GBA won't have all that - and as you say, it doesnt need it anyway. But Mobile phones are half way there already, developers are already working on putting the other half into phones. They will do this regardless. So all phones will have that kit fitted eventually (and thats not far away due to the speed of the mobile market right now). Since we will all have one of these, you will automatically have games which match or go beyond GBA quality. So if you had a phone which did all that (and you will by default, sooner or later), why would you need a GBA?

That's why I'm waiting until I get a new phone. Then I can be the slickest kid on the street.

Some person goes to me the other day after looking at my iPod - "Slick".

high res color screens,
GBA uses LCD screens, so it has no resolution.
polyphonic sounds,
THe GBA doesn't need to use great sounds, blips and bleeps which are so great, I mean, they've never made a song out of RINGTONES, have they? NOO. but they made a Tetris song *Hums tetris tune*
much improved color WAP net access,
Why would a GBA need WAP access
Bluetooth,
WHy would you want a handsfree kit?
Movie maker option
And why would you want this? YOu're supposed to play games.

Oh, and exactly how much do you think this will cost, with your accessories etc, it qwill at least be £300 and bigger than an X-Box. See.

Trust me, by year end, Mobile are going to be really slick.

Photo msg with built in camera, high res color screens, polyphonic sounds, much improved color WAP net access, Bluetooth, Movie maker option - to capture short movies using the camera and mic, many more applications like on PDA's, and some very high end games which will rival or surpass the GBA. These things are starting to appear already, but by year end, they will be standard on all good mobile's.

AND also, you buy this mobile at probably £200, then you say, "Hmm, I want four new games, lets shell out another £800 for it!! AND! I can play all 5 of them on different handhelds!! WOO YEAH!!" That'll only take up 90 cm cubed of space in my pocket!
