You clearly do, I'm sorry if I misunderstood but to me the abve sounds pretty much like you're saying anything not BBFC rated is illegal, Fight Club US version isn't, so is there fore illegal.

What I hate is multiregion.
As far as I'm concerned if the machine is making the right noise it can read it.
And it doesn't need a multiregion hack to play it!

For example
Stick Planet of Apes DVD in my PS2 straight from the US
PS2 reads it fine. I can hear it reading it correctly.
Then it says "Multiregion not supported bla bla"

It's just big businesses making us fork out more money just to enable ourselves to play films.
I've got to go out and buy DVD Region X now.. not nice.

To answer the initial question:

http://www.interdvd.co.uk/
(quite a few Aussie dvds, but they're quite expensive)

&

http://www.movietyme.com/

Both sites are reliable and shipping is free (I think)

You're just talking in garbelled rubbish now and have pretty much just said everything I've said numerous times already. You will not have any problems importing almost anything into the country - if you try and suggest otherwise you clearly don't have an idea of what happens in practice (and only a very loose grasp of the theory too).

Fight Club US is not "illegal" for personal import. It is illegal for a shop to sell Region 1, or non region 2, DVDs as none have been rated for the UK. However individuals can order and legitimately buy non BBFC rated movies - so long as they do not breach other laws - such as indecency, obscenity or violence. To break these takes a pretty extreme film - or one that can outrage a vocal enough public opposition. Again, you had no problem importing Natural Born Killers as it was for your own use, yeh you could have sold it on but on paper it appears to be imported for your own use so thats why its easy to get unrated movies.

What films are actually banned here anyway?

They unbanned the Exorcist and people (including myself) laughed at how pathetic it was

My whole point - the chances are ZERO. A different cut of a film e.g. Fight Club US v Fight Club UK, is just as "illegal" as any video nasty as neither have been passed by the BBFC. I've also had no problem importing the said video nasties e.g. Natural Born Killers when it still was one.
