Oh no, once I get interested in something, I wanna know everything about it.

Like a few years ago I watched an F1 race, I knew nothing, now I know quite a considerable amount about the sport and its history.

I just like learning about new things.

Its fun to watch, as long as you don't even attempt to understand the rules.
What I get is:

Bend over, through the ball between your legs.
Get to the other end with all limbs intact
Go 'Huh huh huh' and be an exited american bloke
Slap some tight-panted bum
Take a nakee shower with everyone

60 minutes.
There are 4 quaters with 15 minutes in each.
The clock stops when the ball goes out of bounds, a pass is incomplete, someone calls a time out, possession changes, a fair catch is called, there is an injury time out, a play is challenged, and on a two point conversion, after a touchdown.
The rest of the time the clock runs down.

And when you think about football, it takes roughly twenty seconds to score a goal, and matches last for 90 minutes.
What is happening for the other 89 minutes of the match? Build up. And teams score much more frequently in the NFL.
This years Superbowl was fantastic, and it was almost a shame the raiders couldn't play more effectively, as the game would have been more competetive.
Here's hoping for a Packers - Eagles Final next year.
You should all watch the Pro Bowl as well. It's usually great.

I didn't get to see the Superbowl, but I'd think it'd be pretty electric.
