This makes DOAX Volleyball the fastest selling Xbox title ever in Japan, which will bring cheer to developer Tecmo, whose Dead or Alive 3 is also the biggest selling Xbox title overall in Japan, with 154,906 units sold. But to add a little perspective, this pales in comparison to the millions already shifted by Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire on GBA.
And while the shock revelation that sex sells sinks in, it will be interesting to see what impact the title will have on struggling sales of Xbox hardware in the Far East.

Great news! I am not a big sales fan myself but I am very pleased to see that the game is selling well in Japan. From what I have seen so far it looks like a 'Japanese' game if you understand what I am getting at. The graphics are excellent, there is a lot to unlock and the game just speaks Japanese (not literally for all you smart Alecs). Panzer Dragoon is having the same effect and I believe that Shenmue 2X will be enough to give the Xbox the credit that it deserves on the Japanese market. I am only interested in sales because they incourage developers to include the Xbox or make an exclusive title over the other 2 consoles. By summer I will own all 3 consoles when I get a PS2 again, however even then I will still have a soft spot for the Xbox as I feel myself that the console should be selling more than what it is.
Great news for Microsoft and great news for gamers, personally I am really looknig forward to the game purely and simply because I like Tecmo and Team Ninja and because the game looks very unique in style. Yes there will be those who buy the game for one reason and one reason only but I won't be one of them!

Yes there will be those who buy the game for one reason and one reason only but I won't be one of them!
