Being an idiot newbie and all, I know little about the way the GAD system works, but can you build up GAD wins, so you can get one big thing later? Or do you have to get one thing in the price range you have straight away?

IT would be a good idea if you could build up GADs I think, as you could save up for consoles n stuff, and make more efficient use of the money you've won.

No, you can't.

Not straight away but you get 90 days then poof, no GAD for you. And it has to be in the price range

Well, maybe, but then people like pb (26 wins) could be having like a PS2 AND GC. SR won't do it, but hey it would be cool.

It's also profit margins. Hardware doesn't make as much profit as software, and even then software or DVD box sets don't make as much as single items. Because of this, if they start giving one of these away free they lose more because they are unlikely to recouperate the loss through other units which are actually sold.

If SR aren't doing box sets for GAD (which they aren't) then it's even more unlikely that they will be giving away consoles.

Anyway, it's good of them to give away anything.

CAW will never work.... CAM is more likely to work its just too expensive to run they're already giving away £125 a day.. so an extra £300 per week wil not realy be appreciated...

Its a very good idea, and i can see how it makes sense, but i dont think they would go for it. Unless like Sonic said, they set a high amount of GAD wins to be reached before they will swap them.

I reackon SR could and might do that allthough with the rising prices of consoles it may be slighly out of pocket. Maybe they should introduce a completly new "CAW" (Console A Week)? Surely that would work (although likely to be a CAM console a month) and not too far out of pocket. Actually it would be. Oh no I've gone cross eyed. (In Austin Powers voice).

Who would save 10 GAD's?

I think that 2 GAD's (the 50 pound ones, not mini 25 pounders!), should be tradable for a GBA.
I've won Mario Advance 2 but I know that with the imminent gamecube launch, I won't have enough money to get a GBA! :-D

Still, I can always use my brother's GBA instead of getting my own! :-)

Actually, this is a great idea!

Asumming that when people win GAD they claim a £40 game, why don't SR say that you can trade 10 GADs for a new console. Not only do they save money on the prizes, but they'll have a potential new customer!

Add to that, many people my never reach the 10 gad landmark, and so SR will never have to give prizes to some people!

There's no reason why they can't pull this off!
