I have no idea what just happened, I had a 'full' version of dDreamweaver installed on my pc, it's been there for ages, working great, all of a sudden today, i try and go onto it, says theres something wrong with my video devices so i have a little fiddle around, to see whats up, I can't find anything, keeps saying one of my drivers is missing, blah, blah, so I reinstall the video drivers the same message pops up so me thinks..."maybe reinstalling Dreamweaver would be a good idea" yup, everything installs correctly, pcs running nicely, i'm happy, but I try Dreamweaver again:

*Welcome to Dreamweaver*

Trial = Ended

*shock* this can't be right, surely! i've lost my favourite and most usefull web tool! don't think so.... i've tried reinstalling the program about 5times now, just becaus I can't believe it.

now, is there any way without formatting my hdd that i can get it back, i'll put it on my other pc, but it will be hard to get stuff on the net as it's not networked yet :) i'm a lazy git.

thanks for your help.

also, I can't get The Gimp working, i'm such a fool, but it doesn't want to install or anything, there were 4 files to download, I got them, but *silence* nothing.

again, thanks in advance.

If it's a fully Liceneced version, as you don't get a Trail Ended statement at all... This sound more like a cracked demo?...

If you can find the DLL responsible for it, kill it and re-install, shouldn't have any problems then.

It won't reinstall at the moment because the original registry is there whcih is what stops you from re- installing the trail over and over (Macromedia are pains for this)...

What version of DW are you trying to install?
If you email me nicely... I have an app that may be of use to you wich will solve all of your problems hopefully!;-) *wink wink*

From the sounds of it, this is probably a long shot but have you tried properly un-installing DW, then re-installing it... Sometimes this works rather than just reinstalling over something that is already there.

Have you still got your reg key? If you haven't you're buggered.

As for the GIMP, it went fine for me. Run the large installer first, and dump any errors you get here.
