My first thought is not calling the password input box "password" but will Windows just pickup that it is a password input box any way?

It won't work... All you've done is modify the fields, It still won't stop windows from remebering what was typed in as you cannot change the security setting of windows/IE throug the browser!! It just won't let you do it!!
Actuall it will... But MS won't tell me!!
