I disagree, PGR is a DRIVING game, not a RACING game, and there's a HUGE difference.

I like PGR because I'm not just racing against other cars. I like it because there are other challenges in the game. If you want to race against other cars, go play GT3...

Indeed. These shots don't actually show us anything. To be honest, I don't even see the Xbox as being capable of pushing around 6 or more cars at that quality with all the in-game mechanics going on as well.

While The Getaway looks excellent, remember how much better the pre-release screens were? Pre-release screens are one thing - actual final graphics, when the machine has much more to deal with, can be quite another. So excuse me if I remain slightly skeptical!

I don't care what it looks like, to an extent. As long as it looks no worse than the original, but has the same (or better!) gameplay, then I'll be happy as larry!

But all those shots are from replays. I want to see in-game footage before I make my judgement.

Er...No.

Anyway, Those screenshots look s.w.e.e.t! I thought the original PGR had excellent graphics, But this is really showing what the Xbox can be pushed to. It most likely has no drivers because its early in development.

Microsoft will probably issue a press release later saying you can buy the game without drivers but if you want drivers you have to play on line and subcribe at £7.00 per month.

Though as the original game featured drivers in the cars, and these screenshots don't, I'm guessing they're demo graphics for publicity purposes only.

It will be more impressive if they look as good in the final game, complete with drivers.
